WREP Consultation Forum

WREP hold a series of three consultation forums twice yearly situated across the county. The purpose of the forums is to understand the issues that the BME communities are facing.

Information gathered from WREP’s consultation forums together with issues identified from WREP’s community engagement events and visits are added to an action plan which is used to address individual issues. The action plan feeds into community area forums, and specific issues are fed into the relevant area or agency to address. The active use of the action plan allows WREP to keep track of issues raised and consequently feed back the outcomes/progress of the issues at consultation forums and to individuals.

Issues identified by WREP feed into the action plan in four areas:

  • Safer Communities
  • Health & Well Being
  • Housing
  • Economy, Skills & Employment

These four areas are in line with many of the Community Area Strategies allowing WREP to effectively commuicate the issues.
